Once they arrived at the flower, Jesse showed Leo where his ship was hidden. Leo then carefully picked it up and set it on the ground. Jesse immediately started making the necessary preparations to send the device back to Mala, where Demour was eagerly awaiting his call.
“How does this thing work?” Leo asked.
“I’m not quite sure how it works. It’s based on the same technology that got me to this planet. All I know is that I place the ball inside this machine where it is then broken down and turned into energy. It then beams the energy through space and back to Demour. Then it’s reconstructed in his teleportation receiver.”
“Hmmn, sounds complicated.”
“Yup.”
Once Jesse had made the final adjustments to his laser, it was time to punch in the co-ordinates that Demour had given to him.
“Would you mind reading these numbers to me, I need to type them into my keypad?”
“Sure thing Jesse.” Leo read the numbers out loud. “X-21, Y-82, Z-8.”
After Jesse punched in the co-ordinates and finalized the sequence, he then told Leo,
“Now place the ball in inside the complex deconstruction machine.”
“Ok done. What now?”
“That should do it. All we do now is wait and watch.”
The laser machine rumbled and roared as the power charged up, it got louder and louder until a bright beam of light shot out of it and the ball was gone.
