Deep beneath The Luma Sea, Jesse was thinking deeply about what Hadon had told him about the dragons.
“Computer, look to the map of Sparasa and find Lucky Mountain.”
“Lucky Mountain is the highest elevation on Sparasa, its inhabitants are mainly dragons.” Computer replied.
Jesse looked at the map and set his course to a position near Lucky Mountain. He did not want to arrive so close as to frighten one of the dragons. He bid farewell to his new friend Hadon and off they went.
Upon arrival, he decided it was time to get some rest. Since he did not know exactly what to expect in this new and bizarre world, he decided to use the ships camouflage technology to blend in to the environment.
“Computer, park us on the top of that flower, we should blend in there nicely.”
“Yes Sir Commander.”
The computer then landed them safely on top of the giant flower. Jesse opened up the hatch and stepped out to breathe the wonderful fresh air which he so sorely needed. He found a nice cozy leaf, kicked up his feet and began to think about what his next move would be. Just as he was dozing off, computer woke him up.
“Commander, Commander!”
In a half awakened stupor, Jesse mumbled,
“Yes, what is it computer?”
“When is the last time you looked into a mirror?”
“I don’t know. Why do you ask?”
“Well, because you seem to be getting younger, a lot younger in fact. I would estimate you have regressed about ten years.”
Jesse panicked, and quickly ran back into the ship to look into the mirror. He could barely believe his eyes. It was true, he had somehow become younger.
“This must be one of the effects of the broken time machine of which Demour spoke. We must hurry, I don’t think we have much time left.”
“Jesse, my sensors are picking up some strange and complex music in the distance.”
Jesse decided to investigate, so he climbed back into the ship to get his special helmet which enabled him to hear and see over great distances and to detect life forms around him in the thickets which he might otherwise have overlooked.
