“Thank you very much for your help Krasanda, it was nice meeting you.”
“You’re welcome and good luck to you.”
Krasanda then turned around, and vanished into the darkness.
“It sure looks…”
But before Jesse could utter another word, something had passed them on the starboard side of his ship. Jesse turned his head quickly to spy a glimpse but it was far too quick.
“Did you see that!? What was it!?”
“I recorded the specter Jesse. Would you like me to show you a still picture of it?”
“Yes computer, bring it up on the screen.”
The computer enhanced the picture for Jesse.
“Wha…what is it?”
“I have no information about this entity in my database. It looks like a giant bird, but birds - don’t…”
Just then, it passed them again and darted straight into a dark tunnel.
Jesse yelled, “Follow that bird!”
Quickly picking up speed, they chased the bird which had stretched itself out straight as an arrow. They went this way and that way, and that way, and this way and just when Jesse was too scared to continue, the big aquatic bird disappeared and all was still.
“Where did he go? Computer, any ideas?”
“My sensors indicate it is just up ahead.”
Jesse looked ahead and as they approached he could not believe his eyes. The giant bird had swum into a giant glowing red sac.
“I have an idea. I will speak to the bird using my holographic device along with your sophisticated amplifier. Computer - make it happen.”
Jesse stepped into his projection booth to be scanned. The ship then projected a giant hologram into the area. The image was so bright it lit up the entire cave exposing many strange and wonderful creatures.
“Allo I am Jesse and I come from the planet Mala.”
